Late-Breaking Abstract submission is now closed

Late-Breaking Abstract submission is closed as of April 1, 2014, 11:59 pm CST.

Notification

Late-Breaking abstract notification letters will be sent mid-April by return email to the submitting individual (the same email address responsible for sending the document to MDS). If you have not received your notification letter by May 1, 2014, please contact the MDS International Secretariat at congress@movementdisorders.org

Eligibility

The Late-Breaking Abstract program is not designed to favor investigators who inadvertently missed the deadline for the regular abstract submission. Furthermore, abstracts reporting results based on small size series, because of their usual questionable power, are discouraged as Late-Breaking Abstract, and abstracts on case reports would be considered only under exceptional circumstances given their inherent anecdotal nature. MDS members and non-members are eligible to submit abstracts.

Review Process

The Committee shall be directed to reject abstracts for the following causes:

  • Plagiarism Detected
  • Marketing
  • Subject not related to the field of Movement Disorders
  • Does not meet basic requirements

Presentation

All Late-Breaking Abstract poster presentations will take place on Wednesday, June 11, 2014.

Accepted abstract presenters should plan to attend the Congress June 8-12, 2014, as poster presentation dates are subject to change. If your abstract is accepted, you must be prepared to travel to the International Congress to present your abstract on the assigned date.
